Painter and Sculptor
Anass Doujdid
An artist and laureate of the Institute of Traditional Arts in Meknes, Anass set out on his artistic path at a young age. At 14, he focused on his urban form, street art.
His career as a craftsman has opened up many horizons for him: painting and woodcarving as his first ally, followed by pottery, clay, iron and sewing. He has been able to pull the right strings and forge strong links with artisans in his hometown, learning the basic rules of Moroccan craftsmanship in all its splendor and perfection. DOU also specializes in interior design, audiovisual content and 2D animation. 2019 was an exceptional year for the artist, whose skills were rewarded at the Grand Prix Aicha of animation FICAM.
" Heads and Tails "
Stop motion animation
Through the ritual of marriage, the artwork places the occult alongside the manifest. The invisible, now visible, allows identity to reveal itself completely without deception. This animation deconstructs a traditional ceremony through an approach that places truth at its core. After all, isn't truth the most important element in the search for one's identity? Seeing everything to truly know?
