Graffiti on canvas 250 x 200cm

The boundaries between the sacred and the profane become blurred. The artwork, with its clearly identifiable cultural references, does not allow us to identify its subject. A reflection on identity, confronting the being with the appearance: are we who we appear to be, or are we merely an accumulation of masks behind which lies an unattainable truth? Do we take our reality with us into the virtual universe to finally be ourselves? In a society shifting between tradition and modernity, is the only certainty the existence of the mask?
