" Laab Maa Qranek "
Oil painting on canvas 120 x 80 - 120 x 80
The work takes the form of a diptych accompanied by a fabric installation. It depicts a girl and a boy playing, immersed in their very distinct worlds, until an element from one world migrates to the other, arousing surprise, fascination, and curiosity in the children. The little girl abandons her doll to take an interest in this brightly colored marble. For the boy, the doll's shoes penetrating his play area represent an opportunity for discovery. Through this work, the artist explores the impact of stereotypes inculcated in children through the games they are offered according to their gender.
