Cutting and sewing on Moroccan carpet. 3 x 2m

The universe of childhood being the foundation of the Clichés Contemporain duo's artistic exploration, this work materializes the imaginary world of the child by raising a fascinating question: "how do children imagine their intimate spaces?"Through the work, the artist duo creates a bridge between the imaginary and the real world to give life to a work that embodies both the rebellion and innocence of the child. The child's imaginary games are materialized through a circuit cut out of the highly symbolic Moroccan carpet, followed by a series of drawings that skilfully weave the tale of childhood reveries. A series in which every detail is a reminder of the unexplored territories children travel through on their journey to self-discovery.
