Manal Achaoui
Born in Morocco in 1996, Manal graduated in Comics from the National Institute of Fine Arts in Tetouan in 2018. Her passion for art and storytelling has led her to explore illustration, animated books and animation.
Manal Achaoui’s enchanted universe is a wonderful journey into a world rich in color and perfect aesthetics. The artist was awarded for her excellence in Comics by Tanger Med in 2018, she also won 3rd prize at the African Comic Talent in 2019, then in 2020 she won 2nd prize in The Walt Disney Company’s prestigious Disney Art Challenge.

Pop-up illustration
" (Mat)9is(ch)! " is an interactive work that invites us to explore the most precious space in the home: the living room. This sacred place, reserved for adults and visitors, is a space of prohibition for children. The artist challenges the codes and prejudices that children are confronted with, inviting us to "enter" this living room to discover the constraints experienced by the youngest. As a provocation to the established rules, the artist invites visitors to "touch" the work to reveal the words a child might hear in this context.
